Cookie policy

Last updated — 2026-07-11

What we set on your device, what each thing does, and how to turn off everything that isn't strictly necessary.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. They fall into a few broad kinds:

  • Session cookies — temporary; they expire when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period, up to two years.
  • First-party cookies — set directly by odins3.com.
  • Third-party cookies — set by external services we use, on their own terms.

Essential cookies

These are required for the site and platform to function, and cannot be disabled:

  • Authentication: keeping you signed in during your session.
  • Security: protecting against cross-site request forgery and other attacks.
  • Preferences: remembering choices such as your light or dark theme (stored in local storage).

Analytics cookies

Analytics help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Data is aggregated and not used to identify you:

  • Google Analytics: page views, sessions, traffic sources, and device information. We configure it with IP anonymization and ad personalization disabled. Cookies last up to two years.
  • Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights: privacy-friendly page performance and traffic measurement without cross-site tracking.

Marketing cookies

We may use advertising cookies from platforms such as Google, Meta, or LinkedIn to measure campaigns and reach people who have visited our site. These are optional: they are only set where consent is required and given, and opting out never affects essential site functionality.

Managing your cookies

You have several ways to control cookies:

  • Browser settings: every major browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) lets you block or delete cookies in its privacy settings.
  • Opt-out tools: analytics and advertising providers offer their own opt-outs, such as the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Clearing data: you can delete existing cookies and site data at any time and start fresh.

Note that blocking essential cookies may break sign-in and other core functionality.

Third-party cookies

Some service providers we rely on — analytics services and payment processors — set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing those policies for details on how they handle data.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. Updates are posted on this page with a new date at the top, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our privacy policy.
